About the consultation?

The initial consultation will take approximately one and a half hours for an adult and one hour for a child. At this time I will take detailed notes of your presenting symptoms, your medical history and your family medical history.

I will also ask many questions which you may feel are unrelated to your problem. However, this information is very important in helping me to build up a full and clear picture of you as an individual and enable me to prescribe the correct remedy for you. All information gathered will be treated confidentially. At the end of the consultation I will prescribe and dispense appropriate remedies.

Remedies are in the form of a tablet or tablets which should be dissolved in the mouth. Nothing should be taken in the mouth for ten minutes before or after a homeopathic remedy. It is recommended that you avoid coffee and preparations containing camphor, menthol and eucalyptus as these may interfere with the action of your remedy.

As a licensed and Registered Homeopath I work according to a strict code of ethics and anything you say will be treated in the strictest confidence.

How many appointments will I need?

The number of subsequent appointments depends on the severity of the condition and how well you respond to treatment. I will ask you to come along for at least one follow up appointment to assess your progress. Complaints which have developed very slowly over a number of years will not disappear overnight, but other more recent complaints can get better quickly.

Follow up appointments usually last 1 hour for adults and 45 minutes for a child.
Listed below are some of the common conditions that homeopathy can treat. Other diseases or syndromes can be treated including those without a name or known cause.
